Hunts: Turkey, deer, Phesants, Crow & Coyote.
Turkey hunts with:

Remington 1187 semi-auto, using Winchester X-tended 3in. # 6's using an Indian Creek choke tube, .650 constriction. Also uses a Rhino choke tube .660 constriction, with custom Nitro Ammunition.

Winchester 1300 (first turkey gun!) with Winchester XX Magnum 3 in. #5's 2oz. loads
Comp -n- Choke tube.

Favorite Calls: I love my turkey calls! Can't get enough of them, whether big manufacturer or custom calls. I am always trying for the best, most realistic impersonation of a bird I can.

In particular, I am fond of slate and anodized aluminum pot calls, custom made by Wendell Rye of Lights Out Calls in Arkansas. I'm also fond of Al Holbert and his line of "Enticer" glass calls and love to hear my Dick Kirby curved paddle long and "shorty" box calls shock a gobble out of a tom, up in the day!
Turkey Hunting for: 11 years
Biggest bird lbs.:

24lb. Merriam harvested in Wyoming.

Biggest spurs: 1-1/2 in. from an Osceola.

Longest beard: 11in. from birds in Virginia and Florida.

States hunted in: MA, NH, ME, CT, NY, OH, FL, VA, SC, TX, MO, WY, SD, KS, RI.
Proudest Accomplishments:

Spring 2006 was very memorable! I completed my first Grand Slam, finishing it with a monster Merriam in absolutely breathtaking scenery in Wyoming. Having whitetails, mulies, antelope and the Devils Tower as a backdrop for this hunt was most exciting.

I also had the opportunity to call in my cousin Justins' first spring tom on State Forest land in western MA and to call in a bird for my mentor, Regional Director Tom Nannery, in NY.

Employed: By the Town of Ipswich, MA as assistant chief operator of their Water Treatment Plant.
Statement: I am a passionate wild turkey hunter, who cannot wait for the next fall or spring season to arrive!

My wife Anne is a saint for putting up with my obsession for all things turkey hunting!

In the fall, besides turkey hunting, there is nothing like being in a tree stand with a bow during deer season and watching a beautiful day unfold, it's magic!!
Enjoy: Hunting Turkey, Deer Shotgun or Archery!
